Education

1999-01   MA Fine Art (Drawing), Wimbledon School of Art, London.

1994-98   BA (Hons) Fine Art, University of Sunderland.

Ian Peter Weston studied Fine Art at the University of Sunderland, England, training in painting under the late Geoff Morten. He continued on to Wimbledon School of Art specifically to attend the Master of Arts program in Drawing, this time under the mentorship of Robert Mason. After moving to Auckland, Weston has continued his practice and undertaken further postgraduate study at Elam School of Fine Arts with a second Master’s degree. He is currently continuing his research at Elam.

In his working life Ian Peter Weston has been a soldier, a technician, a commercial photographer and, for some time now, a residential care worker.

to study MA in Fine Art Drawing at Wimbledon School of Art.

1998   Sunderland Echo Painting Prize – best graduate painting presentation

BA (Hons) Fine Art at the University of Sunderland.

1991   Licentiate awarded by the Royal Photographic Society for the best

GCE A Level Photography examination grade in England and Wales.
